Southport Quilters Guild

This quilt originally started out with just the colorful center tumbler blocks. Peg was trying to use up some of her scrap fabrics and do a block pattern she hadn’t tried before. When the need arose for a raffle quilt, Peg generously offered this up and said she would make it bigger with some appliqued borders. Peg says she had a great time designing and arranging the various pieces with lots of good input from other guild members. Judy Johnson mimicked the dragonfly shape in her quilting, hoping to make the center look like dragonflies in flight.
