Monthly Meeting Schedule
This page is a quick snapshot of what is planned for our guild meetings. We typically meet at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8760 37th Avenue, Kenosha on the first Monday of each month, March thru December. Please check our Guild Calendar for the most accurate dates & locations. Guests are welcome at our meetings for a small $5 entrance fee.
July 1, 2024 - Fun with Free Motion Quilting
Video presentation created by Leah Day specifically for quilt guilds. She walks us through the basics of free motion quilting on our domestic machines. Filled to the brim with information and education!

September 9, 2024 - One Block Many Ways
Have a go-to quilt block you love using but don’t want to make the same quilt over and over? Learn how to take one quilt block design and change things up to make a versatile collection of quilts. This trunk show by Rebecca Lindstrom of Studio R Quilts is sure to inspire.
October 7, 2024 - The SMUGGLE Principles
In this Zoom lecture Karen Brow-Meier of Java House Quilts will present the seven design elements that make a quilt "sing!" S - slight asymmetry, M - movement, U - unexpected technique, G - gentle humor, G - graceful disruption of edges/borders, L - something lovable, E - elegant details
November 11, 2024 - Get Your Stash Together - Organization for Quilters
Speaker Carol Wilhoit will help us get organized! Some quilters find that their fabric stash, scraps, quilting tools and books have become a burden as they don’t have a good approach for organization & storage. This lecture provides many practical ideas for making it all readily accessible and will include ideas for using your stash. Carol has taught classes locally, nationally and at several quilt shows including Houston and Great Wisconsin. Carol will be teaching a workshop on walking foot quilting earlier in the day. March 3, 2025 - Pojagi, from ancient Korea to modern Canada
Zoom lecture by Elizabeth DeCroos of Epida Studio. Part lecture and part trunk show, this fun talk tells her journey from Canada to Korea and back again. While in Korea she studied the ancient art of Pojagi, Korean patchwork. Back in Canada, the Korean materials were difficult to find so she adapted Pojagi technique to readily available western materials with some great results.
April 7, 2025 - Threads, What's the Big Deal?
Speaker Nina Clotfelter will teach us all the things we didn’t know we needed to know about thread! Nina is an educator for WonderFil Specialty Threads and is here to share her knowledge. Learn about thread weights, ply, specialty threads and how to work with them. You will leave full of information! Nina will also be teaching a class on free motion quilting. More information will be available soon on our Workshops page.
