Our quilt show is coming back to the beautiful Anderson Art Center in September! Enjoy over 75 quilts made by our guild members. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak firsthand with the quilters while seeing them in action. Visitors can also vote for their favorite quilt overall and for their favorite in this year’s Quilt Challenge “Seasoned Quilts.”  Winners of the viewers choice awards will be announced in early December and posted on our Facebook page. Beautiful and unique items made by our members will also be available for purchase in Anderson Art Center gift shop.

Quilt Show Entry Requirements

  • Entry is open to Southport Quilters Guild members only.

  • You can elect whether or not to have your quilt judged.
  • ALL quilts MUST have a hanging sleeve. The sleeve should be placed 1” from the TOP EDGE of the quilt and should be a continuous sleeve across the back of the quilt at least 2¼” wide and no more than 2½“ wide.  A slit will be made in the sleeve by the Art Center to facilitate hanging. Quilts without a hanging sleeve will NOT be accepted.
  • Due to space limitations, if you enter multiple quilts, we cannot guarantee that all your quilts will be hung.
  • You may only enter one judged quilt per category.
  • Category is determined by the size of your quilt and how it was quilted. The size is based on the smallest side of the quilt.     Large = 60" or larger; Medium = 36"- 59"; Small = 35" or less
