Workshop Policies

Workshop Policies.jpg
  • Workshops are reserved for Southport Quilt Guild Members each new fiscal year, from September through the end of May. Non-members may register for workshops beginning 60 days prior to the date of the workshop, providing there is an opening.
  • No seat in any workshop is reserved until payment has been received.
  • If you need to cancel your attendance at a workshop, you will receive a refund only if your spot can be filled.
  • Please arrive early enough to be set up before the start of the workshop. Doors will open 30 minutes before class begins.
  • Be prepared. This includes having all items on the supply list, sewing machine in good working order, and basic sewing supplies.
  • Come ready to learn and be attentive. Questions during class should be addressed to the instructor. Avoid off-topic or side bar conversations while the instructor is speaking.
  • Please bring a bag lunch, unless otherwise specified. You will be allowed to eat in the classroom. Some venues have a refrigerator available. A half hour is built into the class time for a lunch break, which is flexible and could affect the end time of the workshop.
  • Cell phones should be silenced during class. If you need to make or take a call, please exit the classroom.
  • Visitors are very distracting to the instructor and other attendees, and should not be in the classroom.
  • If you know you have to leave class early, please sit in the back of the classroom.
