Museum Quilt Show

March 7-29, 2020 at the Kenosha Public Museum

Mon-Sat: 10:00 am—5:00 pm    *    Sun: Noon—5:00 pm    *    Free Admission & Parking

 

Due to the COVID-19 virus, the museum is closed through Friday, April 3.

Beautiful quilts made by our talented guild members will again be on display at the Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 1st Avenue, during the month of March.   Visitors will have the opportunity to speak firsthand with the quilters while seeing them in action.  Visitors can also vote for their favorite quilt overall and for their favorite in this year’s Quilt Challenge “Seasons of Mother Nature.”  Winners of the viewers choice awards will be announced in early May and posted on our Facebook page.

 

Southport Quilt Day - Saturday, March 28

Due to the Corona virus, all Southport Quilt Day activities at the Kenosha Public Museum on Saturday, March 28 have been cancelled. The museum hopes to reschedule the Frieda Anderson workshop and lecture for a future date.

Quilt Show Entry Requirements

  • You must be a member of Southport Quilters Guild to enter a quilt.

  • You can elect whether or not to have your quilt judged.
  • Due to space limitations, if you enter multiple quilts, we cannot guarantee that all your quilts will be hung.
  • You may only enter one judged quilt per category.
  • Category is determined by the size of your quilt and how it was quilted. The size is based on the smallest side of the quilt. Large = 60" or larger; Medium = 36"- 59"; Small = 35" or less

Quilt Categories

  1. Large – Domestic machine or hand quilted

  2. Large – Longarm quilted

  3. Medium – Domestic machine or hand quilted

  4. Medium – Longarm quilted

  5. Small – Domestic machine or hand quilted

  6. Small – Longarm quilted

  7. Challenge Quilt
